The Brazilian company Trans Acreana, filming on a new international route.

Rio de Janeiro and Lima now have a permanent international bus connection.

From April 13 at 1:00 pm, the new route was launched that offers the route between the cities of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil to Lima in Peru, which is now one of the longest routes in the world in international transportation of passengers by road. Through the company Trans Acreana, whose name precisely refers to the state of Acre, Brazil, originating from the city of Río Branco, capital of said region; has taken the challenge, the decision to operate this route, taking advantage of the fact that said state borders Peru, thus uniting both nations with an excellent service for travelers from these areas.

With the presence of authorities from the Consulate of Peru, the manager of Trans Acreana, Mr. Fernando Lorenco, and directives from the Rio terminal, the traditional ribbon-cutting took place during the launch of this route in Rio de Janeiro, he was accompanied by a group of music and traditional dances of Peru, as well as on arrival and departure in São Paulo. This route will cover more than 6,035 km in length, passing through five states, in Brazil and seven in Peru, crossing part of the Amazon and the Andes mountain range. This service runs from Rio, passing through São Paulo, Campo Grande, Cuiabá, Porto Velho, Río Branco and Assis in Brazilian territory, then enters Peruvian territory through Inapari, Puerto Maldonado, Cuzco (in the region of the Inca sanctuary of Machu -Pichu), Abancay, Nazca, Ica and finally the capital Lima, a route that was operated until a few years ago by the company Expresso Ormeño.

The buses that will cover this route are the brand new Double-Decker, Marcopolo and Comil, with capacity for 43 passengers, 12 armchairs on the first floor of the bus and 31 armchairs on the second, all types of Leito (reclining sofa type); They are vehicles equipped with all the safety and comfort standards, they come equipped with a Wi-Fi system, USB connectors, air conditioning, toilet, independent curtains, covers and pillows.

The frequency of the route will be once a week, every Thursday, with a crew of two drivers between Rio de Janeiro and Rio Branco, here in the company's base city, they will change for a crew of three drivers, where one of the latter will be Peruvian. As usual on long-distance journeys, stops are made for food and active breaks. The journey lasts 5 or 6 days depending on the border crossings.

The company recommends that passengers arrive at least 1 hour before departure time and that luggage does not exceed 50 kg per person. To enter Peru, foreign passengers must have a valid passport and vice versa.

Trans Acreana also operates another international route between Rio Branco, Brazil to Puerto Maldonado, Peru, with departures from Brazil every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, from Peru on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, covered operation with buses also Double Decker with seats type Semi Leito Master.
