HYPERLOOP TRIP FROM HELSINKI TO STOCKHOLM TAKES LESS THAN 30 MINUTES Results from the world's first study of a full-scale Hyperloop system was presented by Hyperloop One, FS Links and KPMG at the Northern Light business summit in Helsinki, Finland. The data reinforces the transformational economic and social case for building the proposed 500-kilometer Hyperloop network linking the metro areas and airports of the two capitals, according to the companies. Passengers of this proposed Hyperloop network would be able to make the trip in 28 minutes compared to a 3.5-hour flight or overnight ferry, according to a new study.

EUROPEAN AUTOMOTIVE AND TELECOMS SECTORS TO LAUNCH JOINT PROJECT FOR CONNECTED AND AUTOMATED DRIVING Europe’s leading trade associations for the telecommunications and the automotive sectors announced that they intend to launch a large-scale, pre-deployment project to test connected and automated driving at the EU level. The foundations of the project were outlined today at a meeting in Brussels, which was hosted by Günther H. Oettinger – European Commissioner for the Digital Economy and Society. The main objective is to strengthen Europe’s leadership in connected and automated driving, by accelerating the EU-wide deployment of related key technologies.
