DAIMLER BUSES RELYING ON INTELLIGENT STEERING SYSTEMS

Daimler Buses is cutting buses’ fuel consumption thanks to electrohydraulic power steering (EHPS). The fully integrated system replaces the conventional power steering pumps used nowadays in all buses with a gross weight of over 7.5 t. Thanks to the demand-based actuation of the electric power steering pump, which had previously been powered by the combustion engine, steering assist can in future be used regardless of the engine speed.

MARCOPOLO REDUCES SHARE IN NEW FLYER

MARCOPOLO REDUCES SHARE IN NEW FLYER Marcopolo S.A., through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Marcopolo Canada Holdings Corp., has sold 4.5 million common shares of Canadian bus manufacturer New Flyer, which represent approximately 7.4% of the issued and outstanding common shares of New Flyer. Following the sale, Marcopolo still owns 6,587,834 common shares, representing approximately 10.8% of the issued and outstanding common shares. Which means that Marcopolo remains the company’s largest shareholder.
